Fine Italian Cuisine...
David Foini worked on the Royale Caribbean cruise lines before he came ashore on St Martin about ten years ago to work at the famed La Samanna Resort. Later he opened his own establishment near the bridge in Sandy Ground. At first he made pasta at La Raviolina and sold it to stores and restaurants. Then, he started to sell pasta from La Raviolina for takeout and later added pizza. Eventually, he opened La Gondola restaurant next door and served the pastas that made La Raviolina famous. Today, La Gondola has moved to a fabulous new space at the Atlantis Casino and is serving some of the finest Italian cuisione on the island.
La Gondola now serves the fresh pasta and much more to an appreciative audience between 6:00 and 10:30. An authentic Italian dining experience awaits in the large and well-appointed restaurant in the Dutch lowlands. Look for our neon sign just after the golf course on the road from Simpson Bay through the lowlands. You'll also see our awning and several sidewalk tables for your al fresco enjoyment.
